This putter builds on one of the most iconic shapes in golf history—the Anser—and evolves it into a more stable, modern platform with the 2023 Anser 2D from PING.

The Anser 2D is a thoughtful progression of the classic blade, featuring a wider “D” profile that increases stability without compromising the clean, tour-preferred look at address. Finished in a matte-black head, it presents a sharp, distraction-free visual that frames the ball with intention and contrast.

At the face, PING introduces a PEBAX insert surrounded by shallow-milled grooves—engineered to deliver a softer feel while maintaining consistent ball speeds across the face. The result is a more responsive strike with improved roll characteristics, particularly on putts struck slightly off-center.

The deeper head design significantly increases MOI, giving the Anser 2D a level of forgiveness not typically associated with traditional blades. It’s a subtle shift in geometry that delivers real performance gains—more stability through impact, tighter dispersion, and greater confidence under pressure.

A white sight line contrasts cleanly against the black finish, making alignment intuitive and repeatable. At 34", this setup remains true to a standard, balanced configuration—allowing the design to perform exactly as intended.
